Patrick Quan graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in International Studies in 2001 and a Bachelor of Laws in 2003 as part of a double degree. Patrick completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2004, which was granted by the Law Society of South Australia. Patrick was admitted to practice Law in South Australia in 2004 and registered as a Migration Agent in 2006. In 2008, Patrick was entered into the registry of the High Court of Australia.
After employment with a local Migration practice, an associate and Patrick established QH & Partners, which was devoted to the practice of Migration and Citizenship Law. In 2009, in association with a local Family Law firm Patrick also assisted clients with Family Law matters.
In 2012, QH & Partners was rebranded as QS Lawyers with a new partner providing Commercial and Migration legal services. Due to demand, Patrick also provided legal representation on minor criminal, civil, traffic and Family law matters.
Patrick has a broad range of legal experience, however, his core practice area is Australian Migration Law. He has for more than 20 years successfully assisted and advised individuals, companies and businesses in the Hospitality Industry, Engineering, International consulting, Community, Religious bodies, Automotive Imports and Legal firms on Migration Applications and Appeals to the AAT and Federal Courts. Patrick also provides advice to local and interstate migration agents and lawyers on complicated migration matters and Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) enquiries.
Patrick is a Gold Alliance member with the Law Society of South Australia, a member with Migration Alliance, was registered with the OMARA and was a member of the Hong Kong Australia Business Association Ltd and Developing Alternative Solutions To Housing (DASH). He has over 20 years of experience, is listed on Doyles guide in 2021 to 2024 as one of South Australia’s leading and recommended Immigration Lawyers. Patrick is also listed on Three Best Rated, Lawyer Source and APAC.
